The 28th Annual Business Excellence Awards (BEA), presented by the Windsor Star took place on April 11th, recognizing the achievements and successful contributions of business leaders and organizations in Windsor-Essex County. This year, RO-MATT International Inc. was named as a top three finalist in the Innovation category. We shared the spotlight with two other fantastic organizations; Inspire Hub Technologies and K3D Inc.
The Innovation Award recognizes a business that has significantly improved the esthetics and functionality of the operating environment through the development and implementation of an innovative product, process, technology or service within the past four years. The nominees should also demonstrate that the use or innovation has been commercialized and is in the marketplace today.
Steven and Brenda Del Duca along with RO-MATT team members, family and friends attended the gala at the St. Clair Centre for the Arts in Windsor. The stage was set, and the excitement and energy levels were high. The video presentation for our category was impeccably produced as our host, Kim Lewis from Liquiforce Services Ontario introduced the three finalists. After a few minutes of tapping feet and racing hearts, the winner was announced. The honour of the Innovation Award, presented by Union Gas went to Inspire Hub Technologies Inc. “Karolyn Hart and the Inspire team are truly deserving of this award,” remarks Del Duca. Their company helps organizations collaborate, communicate and measure engagement in one easy-to-use hub.
Although RO-MATT did not take away the coveted and beautiful glass trophy, they did make some incredible connections and new friends. “It was a real charge, just to be nominated and thought of,” comments Mauro Cristofari, Sales Manager at RO-MATT. The entire staff was proud of the achievement and continue to strive for excellence.
Perhaps another award opportunity will come around for RO-MATT again in the future. Until then, the team will continue to work hard, be innovative and maintain the level of quality and professionalism their customers have come to know and appreciate for the past 25 years.
